Q. How much is land with a cabin? -Larry
A. This is a little bit hard to answer, Larry, without more information. It depends very much on ‘where’ in Alaska and ‘how much land’. I live in south central part of the state, near Anchorage. I also happen to have a grandson who is a realtor. (does that tell you something about my age?) Anyway, let’s get off that subject! Out in the countryside around Wasilla, where I live, you could probably get a cabin on one or two acres for about $50-$60,000, according to Wayne. If this sounds high – you’re probably correct…..but just think of what a great place you would be living! Also, there are of course ‘deals’ here too. I’m sure you can find something.
If you want to write me back and tell me what area you are considering – and how far out from civilization you want to be, I’ll try and ferret out the info for you! Wayne will also be happy to take your real estate questions. You can contact him by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
